The UP-COAX-TX/RX series devices transmit 10/100Mbps Ethernet and PoE/PoE+ with coaxial cable up to a distance of 300m. The devices are supplied and used in pairs, the UP-COAX-TX on the camera side and the UP-COAX-RX on the server side. The extenders make it possible to pass on the PoE supply, e.g. of a midspan, directly via coaxial cable. Power is supplied exclusively via PoE, i.e. even if the camera does not require PoE, a PoE injector, midspan or switch must be used at the beginning of the line. The devices do not require any software configuration. Diagnostic LEDs provide an overview of the operating status. The modules of the UP-COAX-TX/RX series are designed as table-top models. Several units can be joined together laterally.

The PoE power for the camera side is strongly dependent on the cable length and the cable quality.
By increasing the PoE voltage on the central side up to the maximum allowed 57VDC
the PoE power for the camera can be increased.
