The VI-COAX-2600A series includes PoE midspans with integrated extenders. PoE according to IEEE802.3at and IEEE802.3af is supported. The midspan extender can thus transmit IP and PoE signals over long distances via coaxial cables. The Midspans are designed in such a way that each port can be assigned the maximum power according to the standards mentioned if necessary. Each port is continuously monitored. This allows dynamic power requirements to be recorded and met. At the same time, line or terminal device faults are safeguarded. Although the VI-COAX-2600A is delivered ready for operation without any settings, the simple graphical user interface allows the device and each individual port to be set up.
